Update to League Play

We want you to know that there have been presumtive cases of the Coronavirus in the league area. 

At this time we are going to be postponing League Play starting Monday night the 16th through March 30th. 

We are working with the leaders of APA and with the local news. Be sure to check our Facebook page for any changes. 

We feel that this is the right decision for everyone, the health and well-being of our players is our highest priority. 

We very much look forward to getting back to the fun and excitement of league play as soon as possible.                                                 Everyone be Safe!  We will be in touch.

   
NEW INFORMATION ON LEAGUE PLAY 

      Out of abundance of caution for our members safety, we ask any members who've returned from travel outside of the United States, or to heavily affected areas of the U.S. in the last 14 days, not to come to League Night until at least 14 days after your return. 

        If you are feeling ill please do not come to League Night, stay          home!         

        If you become infected with the Covid-19 virus please                      notify us as soon as possible! 

        Remember the CDC's recommendations relating to people              who are in the high risk group. Feel free not to come to                    League. Our biggest concern for all of you is your safety, if you have            any questions please let us know.  

              

We are aware of the situation with the Coronavirus. We have been in contact with several of our Host Locations and they are taking necessary precautions. At this time we will be continuing League Play. Please let us know if you have any concerns. We will keep everyone informed of any changes.

New Rule: Captains you need to watch the skill levels of the players you are playing if you break the 23 Rule you will loose all of your points.

If your score sheet is not complete you will not get your bonus points. There have been a lot of teams not totaling their innings. Bonus points are given for score sheets being complete. Thanks for your cooperation. 
 


                                NEW players will now begin as a skill                                                           level 3 as of Dec.1, 2018.
 
Please read the New Rule book! If you break the 23 Rule the system will automatically take all of the teams points away. It no longer matters whether or not the other team catches it, the system will. 
 

WE WILL PAY YOU $50.00 or Cue stick  FOR STARTING YOUR OWN TEAM. 

 

 PLAY OFF CHANGES

SEVERAL PLAYERS HAVE ASKED US TO CHANGE OUR DIVISION PLAY OFF FORMAT. AFTER THINKING ABOUT IT I HAVE DECIDED TO MAKE THESE CHANGES. I THINK OVERALL IT WLL BE GOOD FOR THE PLAYERS AND THE LEAGUE.

1) THE FIRST PLACE TEAM AT THE END OF THE SESSION WILL NOT HAVE TO PLAY IN THE DIVISION PLAY OFFS TO BE QUALIFIED FOR CITY CHAMPIONSHIP. FIRST PLACE WILL BE AUTOMATIC

2) IF YOU ARE IN FIRST PLACE AND CHOOSE TO PLAY IN THE PLAYOFFS TO WIN THE DIVISION PLAQUE AWARD AND YOU LOOSE YOU ALSO LOOSE YOUR QUALIFICATION FOR CITY

3) THE WILD CARD DRAWING WILL BE THE SAME AS WE HAVE DONE IN THE PAST 

4) IF THE FIRST PLACE TEAM CHOOSE'S NOT TO PLAY IN THE DIVISION PLAYOFFS THE FORMAT WOULD THEN BE 2ND PLACE WOULD PLAY THE WILD CARD TEAM AND 3RD AND 4TH PLACE WOULD PLAY EACH OTHER IN THE FIRST WEEK OF PLAYOFFS 

5) THE SECOND WEEK OF THE PLAYOFFS THE WINNERS FROM WEEK ONE OF THE PLAYOFFS WOULD PLAY TO DETERMINE THE WHICH TEAM WOULD QUALIFIED FOR CITY

Don't forget to pay your Membership dues they are due on the first night of play. Can be given to your Team Captain or paid online through Poolplayers.com  

 
With new teams starting just a reminder that once you start a team all league fees are due for the entire session even if the team drops out. See page 27, paragraph 6 of the Official Team Manual. Thanks!

 

BE SURE AND CHECK THE WEBSITE TO MAKE SURE YOUR SCHEDULE HAS NOT CHANGED DURING THE 4 TO 5 WEEKS OF THE SESSION.  IF YOUR DIVISION HAS A BYE AND WE ADD A NEW TEAM WE WILL NOT CHANGE THE SCHEDULE INSTEAD WE WILL PUT THAT TEAM WHERE THE BYE WAS. IF A TEAM DROPS OUT AND CREATES A BYE WE WILL NOT CHANGE THE SCHEDULE THAT SPOT WILL BECOME THE BYE. 

 
PICK UP AND DROP OFF LOCATIONS ARE:
412 , 413 &  931 ARE TO BE DROPPED OFF AND PICKED UP AT JACK'S POUR HOUSE.
411,421,471,472, 932,941, 942 and 961 are to picked up and dropped off at DIAMOND JIM'S Bar.

 

I NEED FOR EVERYONE TO GO TO THEIR PLAYER PROFILE AND MAKE SURE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS AND E-MAIL ADDRESS IS CORRECT. IF WE DON'T HAVE YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS PLEASE ADD IT.  THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE LEAGUE OFFICE AND NATIONAL OFFICE TO HAVE. THE NATIONAL OFFICE WILL MAIL YOUR APA MEMBERSHIP CARD TO THE MAILING ADDRESS WE HAVE ON FILE SO PLEASE BE SURE WE HAVE IT CORRECT IN THE SYSTEM.

THE SESSION, PLAYERS MAY BE ADDED AFTER THE 4TH WEEK WITH APPROVAL FROM THE LEAGUE OFFICE

DO NOT LET A PERSON PLAY ONE MATCH UNTIL
THEY PAY THEIR MEMBERSHIP FEE. THE
CAPTAIN WILL BE RESPONIBILE FOR COLLECTING
THE FEE. IF THEY PLAY AND DON'T PAY IT WILL
